"Tom and Greg took us through their live tones, which primarily revolve around the Egnater Armageddon series of guitar heads. Though simple, the guitarists maintain an impressively huge (and loud!) live sound with these rigs. Get to learn all about life on the road with this legendary group of musicians, from the best tours, parties, cookouts, and all the other latest fan questions about fellow bandmates, producers, other bands and more! The guys also run us through the story of how they got involved with their guitar companies, and what sort of things they look for in their custom instruments. Check out their full assortment of guitars ranging from Tom's original Dean Soltero signature (starting a sanded neck trend),to his new obsession with the Dean Cadillac! Greg is now playing Legator Guitars (starting with this tour),and we were able to check out a new V that will be an early prototype for an upcoming signature model line of guitars!"
HELLYEAH has been confirmed for this year's edition of Gigantour, the critically acclaimed package festival founded in 2005 by MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine. Also scheduled to appear on the bill are headliners MEGADETH, along with DEVICE, the new band fronted by DISTURBED singer David Draiman; and DEATH DIVISION, the heavy, technically aggressive and melodic band founded by bassist Jerry Montano (HELLYEAH, DANZIG, NOTHINGFACE),drummer Tim Yeung (MORBID ANGEL, DIVINE HERESY, HATE ETERNAL, NILE),vocalist/guitarist Sean De La Tour and lead guitarist Rick Di Marco. More acts will be announced soon.
HELLYEAH's third album, "Band Of Brothers", sold 19,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 19 on The Billboard 200 chart.
Released on July 17, 2012 via HELLYEAH's new label home, Eleven Seven Music, "Band Of Brothers" was recorded in Dallas, Texas at Vinnie Paul Abbott's home studio, VP's Upstairs Studio, and was produced by the band and Jeremy Parker (GODSMACK, EVANESCENCE),who also served as engineer. Gray told The Pulse Of Radio that the album represents the first time that the members of the band have fully embraced their musical roots. "It's definitely my favorite HELLYEAH record to date, for sure," he said. "I think the first couple were kind of experiments and stuff, and I think we kind of kept what we've done individually away from HELLYEAH, with our, you know, previous bands and stuff, and this time it was like we just kind of said, 'Screw it,' we just kind of quit being afraid to be ourselves. I'm really, really proud of it, I think we all are."
The band has stated that "Band Of Brothers" is a heavier, more metal-sounding effort that either its self-titled 2007 debut or 2010's "Stampede".
